The Good Sam Show is featuring three outstanding workshops in addition to our regular Friday workshops--a delightful two day Martha's Vineyard Camp Cottage by Debbie Young, a chance to make up to 100 Miniature Pots in 1" and/or 1/2" scale with Craig Roberts (The Hairy Potter), or an exquisite Japanese Tearoom in 1" scale offered by The Guys From Texas. The pottery and teahouse are 3 day classes.
Join us for exciting workshops on Friday the 5th, featuring prominent teachers from all over the country. Friday Workshops will be held at the hotel. We usually can post a list of workshops around June 1 for that year's show.
The 2011 workshops can be seen at the link right here, in case you would like to
see what was done in 2011.
The Silent Auction will be Saturday, October 6th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be wonderful miniatures to bid on. Bid early, bid often.
Sunday, October 7th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. we will have a FREE "Tools and Techniques" seminar for all. It is held at the show venue and will cover a number of power and hand tools, as well as information on roofing, flooring, wall treatments, basic landscaping, and other aspects of making miniatures. Please join us.
Children can make a miniature project of their very own at our free Children's Workshops Saturday and Sunday from noon until 3 pm. They can try building, landscaping, or soar with their imagination before going over to the Children's Sales Table where we have priced miniature items for a child's budget.
We have special classes for children on show Saturday and Sunday. Children must be pre-registered for these classes. Click here to see our 2011 classes. The 2012 classes will be posted on the site in late summer of 2012.
For all donations, including the Silent Auction, contact Barb Jones at 408-257-9385 to arrange for delivery. Donations may also be brought to the show.
Our show is a benefit for the PlaneTree Health Library, a free consumer medical library in Los Gatos, CA. For more information on PlaneTree please go to http://www.planetree-sccl.org
